Our Educational Program

Grow With Me Childcare  follows the Early Year Learning Framework.

We focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Education, Literacy, Numeracy, Fitness and basic day to day life skills.

Research has shown that many of children’s best learning experiences come when they are engaged not simply interacting with materials, but in designing, creating and inventing with them. Our Children also have a chance of doing this through Snapology.

We place a huge emphasis on children’s manners, etiquettes, social and emotional development through our daily activities and routines.

Our Program is designed to:

  • Guide children to take increasing responsibility for their own care, learning and development
  • Assist children to continue learning with an enhanced sense of self-worth, identity, confidence and enjoyment
  • Contribute to children’s strengths by facilitating them to share these with their peers
  • Be creative and innovative in evaluating each child’s individual style of learning
  • Challenge social norms that initiate or promote inequality and unfair behaviours and practices

Our program provides:

  1. A responsive, supportive and enriching environment that develops each child’s emotional well-being, social skills and independence.
  2. Opportunities for imaginative play, musical experiences, foundational maths, language, literacy and physical development.
  3. Providing a generous staff-child ratio .
  4. Develop empathy for others in an atmosphere of trust and respect.
  5. Manage emotions that arise from their difficulties in communicating and solving problems.
  6. Planning a range of experiences to support children’s cognitive, creative, social, emotional, language, physical development and individual learning styles.
  7. Learning through play and exploration through hands on experiences.
  8. Providing opportunities for small group play and one on one engagements. Allowing  each child to play and explore independently and collaboratively with their peers.
  9. The individual child in the context and experiences of the group, and within family and community, providing them with challenges or reinforcing their existing knowledge.

Families and staff need to communicate openly and regularly to ensure:

  • Your child’s emotional and care needs are met.
  • Effective planning for your child’s growth, development and education.
  • children as learners, explorers and unique individuals are well supported while there need for investigative and experimental learning is emerging

We encourage children to:

  • Problem solve, be independent as initiators, investigators, explorers, creators in their unique individual ways..
  • Ask questions, listen to and respect the ideas of others and to develop their own suggestions on a range of ideas and concepts.
  • Develop a spirit of cooperation, empathy, caring and responsible attitude towards others

We also:

  • Support and encourage children to represent their ideas through various symbolic means such as drawing, painting, clay work, physical movement, storytelling, writing, socio-dramatic play and discussions.
  • Provide children with uninterrupted time on their own, or to engage with friends throughout the day in a relaxed environment.
  • We believe these characteristics and behaviours are essential for children in their transition to school and lifelong learning.
